Katie Ewald
Katie Ewald is a dancer based in Guelph, Ontario. She has collaborated with celebrated artists like Ame Henderson/Public Recordings, Martin Bélanger/LAPS, k.g. Guttman, Lin Snelling, Chanti Wadge, Daniel Léveillé Danse, Forced Entertainment, Shary Boyle, Jenn E. Norton, and Katie Ward. She is known for being a sensitive and arresting performer.
Alongside her dancer career, Katie has always taught somatic and biomechanical practices, working with groups and individuals to understand their bodies and guide them into embodiment.
She is the 6 time producer of Short&Sweet (Wants&Needs dance) during Kazoo!Fest, SappyFest and Guelph Dance Festival. Her newest offering Double Time will be presented for its second iteration this year at the Guelph Dance Festival.
Currently she is the co-lead (with Coman Poon) of an interdisciplinary arts research-based project that explores the intersection between dance/embodiment and sacred geometry called All The Rage which will premiere in 2024.
