Embodying Radical Tenderness

This workshop designed by transfeminist artist and educator Dani D’Emilia takes as its starting point critical experiential views towards forms of oppression suffered and exercised in our construction as political subjects (patriarchy, racism, xenophobia, misogyny, sexual harrassment and abuse, transphobia, lesbophobia, etc.). Through physical, poetic, and theoretical exercises, participants are invited to open the pandora’s box of stagnant energies and complex emotions within a space of deep listening, respect, and dialogue where it may be possible to see, respect, feel, and work together. The idea is to build tools to go beyond a reactive policy, towards a radically tender and complicit accompaniment so that we can continue fighting for a more livable life in our bodies and communities.
