Beyond the Threshold: Paraontological Improvisations (A workshop with Báyò Akómoláfé and Vanessa Andreotti)

In times of profound unraveling, familiar sense-making frameworks collapse, calling us into radically new modes of perception, reasoning, and relating. Báyò Akómoláfé and Vanessa Andreotti invite you into an advanced yet playful dance with paraontology—a practice of sensing, thinking, and relating beyond conventional subject-object, onto-metaphysical orientations.

In this intimate conversational inquiry, listeners are invited to “eavesdrop,” attune, and engage with profound shifts in awareness, gently exploring the paradoxical possibilities that arise when we hospitably meet both the limits of modernity’s logic and the challenges posed by technologies steeped in modernity’s harm. Rather than avoidance or rejection, this encounter invites deeper relational accountability, humility, and unexpected forms of emergence.

Join us for a nuanced exploration beyond thresholds, where improvisation meets complexity, and together, we cautiously and playfully conjure possibilities that exceed our inherited imaginations.
